Fruits and vegetables are also on this list but you need to make sure that they're also natural and organic. Olive oil is the best option when you're preparing foods. You're also allowed to eat eggs, seeds and nuts. Keep in mind that these also need to be organic, and also remember that peanuts do not fall into this category. Because a peanut is not actually a nut it is not on the approved foods list. And now you know what to eat on the paleo diet.

The majority of people who decide to switch to the paleo lifestyle do so because they want to lose weight. However these people do not know what to eat on the paleo diet to lose weight. The fact of the matter is, by following the basic rules for the paleo diet many people lose weight without even trying. Something you should keep in mind anytime you're trying to lose weight is that calorie counting is important. While most of the foods you find in a paleo eating plan are very healthy, you still need to watch how much of these foods you eat at one sitting. As for the question "What to eat on the paleo diet to lose weight?" You can eat anything on the food list, but do not forget about moderation.

What To Eat On The Paleo Diet For Breakfast

One of the simplest, and my favorite, breakfast recipe is banana almond pancakes. There are very simple to prepare and are absolutely delicious without the need of different types of syrups. So if you want to know what to eat on the paleo diet for breakfast, you really should try mixing this up.

For this recipe you will need:
2 bananas
4 level tablespoons of chunky almond butter
4 eggs

To prepare this dish you'll simply mix everything together in a bowl starting with the bananas and mashing them thoroughly. Then add the almond butter and eggs and combine everything so it's nice and smooth. At this point you simply cook these just like you would any other pancake. If you want to add a little more flavor simply sprinkle dark chocolate chips over the top. All natural chocolate of course.

What To Eat On The Paleo Diet For Lunch

So now you want to know what to eat on the paleo diet for lunch. I have always loved having a salad for lunch. A when I started living the paleo lifestyle I realized I had to change the types of salads I ate. My favorite salad for lunch now is simple greens, organic of course. I'd then top the salad with grilled chicken breast, or boneless, skinless thighs. The main trick is the dressings. 99% of the dressings you find in the grocery store are not paleo friendly. Here is a simple recipe for an herb dressing.

For this recipe you will need:
3/4 cup coconut water
1/3 cup lemon juice
2 garlic cloves
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp parsley
1 tsp dill
1 tsp chives
1/2 tsp sea salt
fresh cracked pepper (to taste)

Once you have all of the ingredients, you simply place all the ingredients in to your blender or food processor and blend until smooth.

There are many other paleo diet options for lunch but this is one of my favorites.
